Peer Review Process

All submissions to Lion City Conferences undergo double-blind peer review. Author identities are withheld from reviewers, and reviewer identities are withheld from authors, throughout the evaluation process.

Review Procedure

1. Upon submission, manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening for scope, formatting, and completeness.
2. Manuscripts that pass screening are assigned to a minimum of two independent reviewers with relevant subject-matter expertise.
3. Reviewers evaluate originality, methodological soundness, clarity, and contribution to the field.
4. The typical review timeline is 2 to 4 weeks from assignment to decision.

Decision Categories

• Accept — the manuscript is approved for publication as submitted.
• Minor Revisions — the manuscript requires small changes before acceptance.
• Major Revisions — the manuscript requires substantial revision and a further review round.
• Reject — the manuscript is not accepted for publication.

Appeals

Authors who disagree with a decision may submit a formal, written appeal to the Editorial Office within 14 days of notification, stating the specific grounds for reconsideration. Appeals are evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief, who may consult an additional independent reviewer before issuing a final determination.
